GAME CONNECT
Game Connect is a consortium-led initiative by the Olympic Refuge Foundation, in partnership with AVSI and Youth Sport Uganda and CAFAR Foundation as an implementing partner. Together we work to support refugees and displaced youth through structured sports and game-based psychosocial interventions. Operating in refugee settlements and host communities, the program uses team-based games, leadership training, and community engagement to foster social cohesion, resilience, and mental well-being. By providing a safe space for play and personal development. Game Connect helps young refugees rebuild confidence, develop life skills, and process trauma in a supportive environment. The initiative also promotes inclusion, teamwork, and integration into new communities, strengthening their sense of agency and belonging. With a focus on empowerment and psychological recovery, Game Connect leverages the universal language of sport and play to inspire hope, unity, and long-term well-being for displaced youth.
